Disability Inclusion Groups at Wood That Works

With over 10 years of experience working closely with local disability inclusion groups, the team has physically modified tools and developed new teaching strategies to ensure that anyone with physical and / or cognitive processing challenges can be given the opportunity to benefit from working with wood.

Wood That Works strongly believes that everyone should be given the opportunity to be creative and have a go at working with wood. Preparing individuals for independent living and building social connections are key aims of our projects. Being able to use real tools is very important for building confidence and skills that can be readily transferred to the real world.

"Wood that Works is a brilliant resource for young people with disabilities

- building social and communication skills as well as providing many practical skills which young people can transfer to everyday life."
